Pernod Ricard

Pernod Ricard is a French company producing alcoholic beverages. Their most famous product, pastis, is often referred to as simply Pernod.
Reborn from the Pernod Fils company as a producer of pastis following the ban on absinthe, it is now a worldwide conglomerate. It owns the Austin, Nichols company (maker of Wild Turkey whiskies) and the alcoholic beverage division of the former Seagram corporation, among many other holdings. In early 2005, the company launched a bid to acquire British-based international competitor Allied Domecq PLC, which would make it second in size only to Diageo.
Pernod Ricard produces a large range of brandnames, in a range of countries. These include:
- Chivas Regal
- Jameson
- Bushmills
- Wild Turkey
- Wyborowa vodka
- Seagram's Gin
- Pernod Absinthe
- Zuco
- Jacob's Creek
