Paul Luebke is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's thirtieth House district, including constituents in Durham County.
Luebke is currently (2005-2006 session) serving in his eighth term in the state House. He and his wife Carol reside in Durham, North Carolina. Between legislative sessions, Luebke teaches sociology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Luebke is also the author of two books about North Carolina politics: Tar Heel Politics: Myths and Realities (1990) and Tar Heel Politics 2000 (1998).
Luebke won re-election from the 30th House district in the 2004 General Assembly election; he defeated Libertarian Sean Haugh in the November general election.
