Paul Henry Calvert (born January 19, 1940), Australian politician, is a Senator for Tasmania and the President of the Australian Senate.
Born into a wealthy Hobart family, Calvert is a farmer by trade and still runs a property in Tasmania. In 1987 he was elected to the Australian Senate, after declining an invitation by the former Liberal Premier of Tasmania, Robin Gray, to run for the House of Representatives after a career in local government.
In 1997 Calvert became the government's senate Whip and became President following the retirement of Margaret Reid in 2002.
