Malaysian People's Party

The Malaysian People's Party (PRM, Parti Rakyat Malaysia in Malay) is a Malaysian political party.
In February 2003, it attempted to merge with the National Justice Party (Keadilan) to form the People's Justice Party (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) however due to infighting within the Malaysian People's Party caused by some members who believed that to join Keadilan was death to PRM's ideology of equality among different religious communities, the Registrar of Societies declared the merger as illegal.
Malaysian People's Party was recently revived after the infighting was settled but its former leader, Syed Hussein Ali is not part of PRM anymore.
