Pantaleon (reigned c. 190 BC- 185 BCE) was probably a brother of the Greco-Bactrian king Demetrius and one of his sub-kings. He was put in charge of the area of the Arachosia and Gandhara.
The limited size of his coinage indicate a short reign, and it seems that he was replaced by his brother Agathocles. Some of his coins (as well as those of Agathocles and Euthydemus II) have another surprising characteristic: they are made of copper-nickel alloy, a technology that would not be developed in the West until the 18th century, but that was knows by the Chinese at the time. They suggest that exchanges of the metallic alloy, or possibly exchanges of technicians, were happening at the time between China and the region of Bactria.
