Pakruojis district is an agricultural district, situated in the north of Lithuania and bordering with Latvia.
Its area is 1316 km2.
District population is 31000.
The population of Pakruojis town is about 6500,
Linkuva has just over 2000 inhabitants.
The rivers Kruoja, Muša and others flow through the district.
Forests occupy 16,7% of the territory of Pakruojis District .
It is close to two major cities: Šiauliai is 40 km. to the west, and Panevėžys is 50 km. to the southeast.
