Otto Frank

Otto Heinrich Frank (May 12, 1889 - August 19, 1980) was father of Anne Frank. Otto Frank was the only member of the group who hid out in the sealed off back rooms of his Amsterdam office building to escape Nazi persecution. He married Edith Hollander on 12 May 1925 in Frankfurt-am-Main. Their first daughter, Margot Frank, was born on 16 February 1926, followed by Anne Frank on 12 June 1929. During World War I, he was a German officer and was decorated with the Iron Cross.
