Operation Corporate

Operation Corporate was the codename given to the 1982 British military involvement in the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War.
The 2 April, 1982 Argentine invasion, Operation Rosario, took the British by surprise. The British undertook a series of military operations as a means of liberation of the Falkands from Argentine occupation.
The British counterinvasion was launched on 21 May, the capital city of Port Stanley fell on 14 June. 258 British subjects were killed restoring the islands to the government the residents desired.
