OQO is a manufacturer of ultra personal computer (uPC) or Handtop. uPCs possess functionality of a low-end tablet pc in a form-factor slightly larger than a PDA. The companys first version is called the OQO 01.
The OQO Model 01 was announced several years before prototypes were even seen, leading many people to call it vaporware, until it was released 10/14/04. The computer runs Windows XP Home, XP Professional, and Linux on a 1 GHz Transmeta processor, 20 GB hard drive, and 256 MB of RAM. It includes USB 1.1, FireWire, and a headphone port. It also includes integrated 802.11b, as well as Bluetooth. It began to ship on October 14, 2004.

Desktop Tweaks
1. Primary use is Net access & MS Office apps including Visio, Project, Word, Excel, Photoshop, etc.--SSH, VNC, IPSec VPN, Firefox, IE, OWA, Lotus Notes, Skype, IM, winamp, and other streaming apps such as shoutcast and Internet TV.
Desktop Shortcuts to facilitate it's use as a mobile Web surfing device paired to a Bluetooth phone:

Services (stop/start BT and Wifi to conserve battery and ease Stand By issues)
