NyQuil

Vicks NyQuil is a medicine designed to help relieve many symptoms of a cold that is to be taken orally in either liquid or "LiquiCap" (capsule) form, at night. Its daytime counterpart is DayQuil; however, NyQuil, unlike DayQuil, is intended to induce drowsiness.
Uses
NyQuil is used for the temporary relief of cold symptoms, such as:
- nasal congestion
- sneezing
- cough
- sore throat
- headache
- minor aches and pains
- muscular aches
- fever
Ingredients
NyQuil's active ingredients are:
- Acetaminophen (pain reliever/fever reducer)
- Dextromethorphan (cough suppressant)
- Doxylamine succinate (antihistamine)
- Pseudoephedrine (nasal decongestant)
It should not be taken by people who drink a lot of alcohol, who are taking other medicines containing acetaminophen, or who are using a prescribed monoamine oxidase inhibitor.
