Nilo Cruz

Nilo Cruz (born ?1962)is a Cuban-born American playwright who won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize in drama for his play Anna in the Tropics. He was the first Latino playwright to receive a Pulitzer Prize, and Anna in the Tropics was only the second play to receive one having not been seen in New York.
His other plays include Hortensia and the Museum of Dreams, Dancing on Her Knees, A Bicycle Country, Night Train to Bolina, A Park in Our House, Two Sisters and a Piano, Beauty of the Father, and Lorca in a Green Dress. In addition, he has also translated two plays by Federico Garcia Lorca: Doņa Rosita and The House of Bernarda Alba.
Cruz is a member of New Dramatists and currently teaches playwriting at Brown University.
