Nick Yee

Nicholas Yee is a doctoral student at Stanford University who studies the players of MMORPGs through surveys. He started his MMORPG research while a psychology student at Haverford College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology. Yee has surveyed more than 35,000 players since the fall of 1999. At Stanford he is researching virtual reality. He grew up in Hong Kong, where he attended St. Joseph's College before attending boarding school at Choate Rosemary Hall.
