New England Sea Wolves
|
The New England Sea Wolves were a continuation of the New York CityHawks franchise (1997-1998) of the Arena Football League. The CityHawks drew poorly at Madison Square Garden, and despite the league's strong desire to have a franchise in North America's largest media market, were forced to relocate to Connecticut prior to the 1999 season. They did little better financially and relocated again after the 2000 season to Toronto, playing their final two seasons as the Toronto Phantoms.
