Nelson Hoffmann was born in 1939 in Roque Gonzales, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Nelson Hoffmann is a writer of novels, short stories, chronicles, poetry, etc., and the author of "Eu vivo só ternuras" which was translated into Italian as "Io vivo di tenerezze" by the Sicilian writer and translator, Marco Scalabrino. This book is about the relationship between a grandfather, the author, and his grandson. Each short chapter is more captivating than the other, a great read for persons of all ages.
Some of Nelson Hoffmann's other works include "Este Mundo é Pequeno"/Compilation of literary essays (Brazilian literature) which is his latest published book, also "A Bofetada"/novel, "Homem e o Bar"/romance, "Quando a Bola faz a História"/chronicle, "Onde Está Maria"/romance. None of these publications has been translated from Portuguese, except "Eu vivo de ternuras".
Although Nelson Hoffmann is now retired as a lawyer and as an educator he continues with his writings.
