Navojoa is a city in the state of Sonora, Mexico, located west of the Mayo river and about 575 km (360) miles from Nogales.
It is a vast economic center where agriculture is the main source of income. Geographically speaking, Navojoa gains importance in its diversity with its coastal, desert, and southwest mountainous areas.
Navojoa is 60 km (40) miles from Ciudad Obregón. The Adolfo Ruiz Cortines dam is located in the area, where fishing and swimming are the main attraction.
