Mummy: The Resurrection is a role-playing game where the people play as ancient mummies from Egypt that have been revived by combining their original souls with the souls of the recently deceased.
Mummy: The Resurrection was relatively unpopular amongst World of Darkness games. Some likely reasons are that it focused on a positive outlook, which is a contrast to the gothic feel of most World of Darkness games. Also, some think a much higher importance was placed on roleplaying than combat in M:tR, which might not have appealed to the fans of White Wolf's other games. Though many do not share this belief as the basis of the Storytelling system was roleplaying, and combat was often cluttered by excessive amounts of dice. However many felt the game was simply unbalancing as there was no finality to your character. There was no "oblivion" as that faced by wraiths, nor "final death" feared by kindred. Also the powerful Hekau magic practiced by mummies was much more powerful than abilities shared by other supernaturals.
