Mukdahan

Mukdahan (Thai: มุกดาหาร) is the capital of Mukdahan province, Thailand, located in the north-east of the country on the banks of the river Mekong. The population of the city was 100,000 2000. The city was founded in 1770 by Chankinnaree, the Prince of Phonsim, as a satellite town of Udon Thani.
