National Republican Movement

Template:Politics of France The National Republican Movement (Mouvement National Républicain or MNR) is a French right-wing political party, created by Bruno Mégret as a split from Jean-Marie Le Pen's National Front.
The MNR is widely considered to be a far-right party, even if it denies this. It considers itself classical liberal and nationalist.
Its political proposals are:
- in favor of laissez-faire economics;
- the fight against undesirable immigration, in particular of Islamists.
During the 2004 campaign for the regional elections, the MNR campaigned under the "No to islamization" slogan.
