The phrase Morning Star can refer to several things.
- The planet Venus, when it is visible early in the day - known as Phosphorus. (see also Evening Star)
- In the New Testament, Morning Star is a name figuratively given to Jesus of Nazareth (Rev. 22:16; comp. 2 Pet. 1:19). When Christ promises that he will give the "morning star" to his faithful ones, he "promises that he will give to them himself, that he will impart to them his own glory and a share in his own royal dominion; for the star is evermore the symbol of royalty (Matt. 2:2), being therefore linked with the sceptre (Num. 24:17). All the glory of the world shall end in being the glory of the Church." Trench's Comm. See also Pentagram.

- Morning Star, a soap opera which aired on NBC from 1965 to 1966. Marketed as a serial for "those who face today and look forward to tomorrow's promise".
- Morning Star is an album by Swedish death-n-roll band Entombed.
- The Morningstars were a band fronted by Sierra Leonean musician S. E. Rogie.
- The Morning Star is a play by Emlyn Williams.
- Morningstar is a novel by David Gemmell.
- Morningstar, Inc. is a printing and publishing company.
- The Morningstar was an experimental Confederation fighter plane in the Wing Commander universe.
- "Morningstar" is also used as a reference to Lucifer in the Bible. From the King James Version, Isaiah 14:12: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
- Morning Star was the name of the sophmore album by Norwegian band Flunk.
