Geldrop-Mierlo

Template:Infobox Dutch municipality 2 Geldrop-Mierlo is a municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The municipality was created from the two former municipalities of Geldrop and Mierlo.
Villages
Geldrop-Mierlo has about 38,000 inhabitants. It covers the surface of 31.39 kmē (about 12 square miles). There used to be two villages, Geldrop and Mierlo. Which joined together, after threats of Helmond to take over Mierlo.
Famous people from Geldrop-Mierlo
- Former Dutch prime-minister Dries van Agt was born in Geldrop.
- Swimmer Pieter van den Hoogenband, winner of three Olympic gold medals, grew up in Geldrop.
