Michael Musto is a writer who began his career with The Village Voice. He has since become somewhat of a media gadfly. He has appeared numerous times on shows such as Countdown with Keith Olbermann and the E! channel. He is openly gay and is published in various gay publications as well, and appeared as a drag queen in the music video for Cyndi Lauper's single "Hey Now (Girls Just Want to Have Fun)," as a reporter in the film "Garbo Talks," and as a zombie in the film "Day of the Dead."
