Michael Fabricant

Michael Louis David Fabricant (born 12 June 1950) is a politician in the United Kingdom, and Conservative member of Parliament for Lichfield. He is Shadow Minister for Economic Affairs.
He was first elected in 1992 as member for Mid Staffordshire, which due to boundary changes became Lichfield in 1997. On September 12, 2001, he used the September 11 Terrorist Attacks as a background to claim that the UK should clamp down on asylum-seekers, but was publicly reprimanded by the then acting chairman of the Conservative Party, David Prior.
