Metroad 6

Metroad 6 or M6 is one of Sydney, Australia's Metroads. It travels from the M1 at Heathcote to the M7 at Carlingford.
Metroad 6 changes names several times as it passes through the city. Its names from Heathcote to Carlingford are: Heathcote Road; New Illawarra Road; Old Illawarra Road; Alfords Point Road; Davies Road; Fairford Road; Stacey Street; Rookwood Road; Joseph Street; Olympic Drive; St. Hilliers Road; Silverwater Road; Stewart Street; Marsden Road.
M6 is the former State Route 45. It provides the straightest link from Pennant Hills, the northern suburbs, the inner western suburbs and Bankstown to the Princes Highway (Metroad 1). Some stretches such as Silverwater Rd, Alfords Point Rd,New Illawarra Rd and Heathcote Rd are straight high speed stretches.
