Metis

Metis can refer to a number of things:
- Metis was a Titaness and the first wife of Zeus.
- Metis is the innermost of Jupiter's known moons.
- The asteroid 9 Metis.
- Métis is a general term for a person whose parents belong to different groups defined by a visual physical characteristic, usually skin colour, or a descendant of such a person
- The Métis people are a Canadian ethnic group.
- Metis Shoal is the tip of a submarine volcano in Tonga, which occasionally erupts to form the temporary island Late'iki (Metis Island).
- Metis is a term for a Shifter born of two Shifter parents. Among most shifters they are deformed and sterile. Among Garou (werewolves), they are scorned and treated like second class citizens. See Werewolf: The Apocalypse, published by White Wolf
