Meir Har-Zion (b. 1934) is one of Israel's best-known commando fighters, famous for serving in Unit 101 in the IDF. He was wounded in September 1956 in a retaliation mission, and was saved after being field operated. Being one of Unit 101's tactical commanders, he was later awarded the rank of an officer solely for his conduct in battle.
Nowadays he lives in "Ahuzat Shoshana", a farm on a mountaintop above the Jordan Valley. He called the farm after the name of his sister Shoshana who was raped and murdered in 1954 at age 18 by a group of Beduin.
