Masatoshi Koshiba

Koshiba, Masatoshi (小柴 昌俊, born 26 September, 1926) is a Japanese physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2002.
He studied in Meiji University and graduated from University of Tokyo, School of Science. In 2002 he won Nobel Prize in Physics "for pioneering contributions to astrophysics, in particular for the detection of cosmic neutrinos".
He is now Senior Counselor of ICEPP and Emeritus Professor of University of Tokyo.
