Marine Le Pen (born August 5, 1968 at Neuilly-sur-Seine) is a French politician.
An attorney by profession, she is mainly known for being Jean-Marie Le Pen's daughter.
Divorced from her first marriage, which gave her three children, she has been remarried to Éric Iorio, an important member of her party.
She ran in the 2004 French regional elections in the Île-de-France region for her father's political party, the Front National. Since April 2003, she has been one of eight vice presidents of this party.
She is generally considered to represent a newer, softer tendency in the National Front, distanced from the perceived pervasive racism and antisemitism of the party.
Since 2002, she is also the president of Generations Le Pen, a organization close to the Front National which aims "to promote the thought and works of Jean-Marie Le Pen" among youth.
