Marianopolis College

Marianopolis College is a CEGEP (Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel or College of General and Vocational Education) located in Montreal, Quebec. It is one of the few private, English language CEGEPs in the Montreal area, and is reputed to be one of the best in the province.
As such, it is also one of the smallest, with a student body of less than 2,000. Unlike most CEGEPs that offer both two-year, general education programmes and three-year, vocational programmes, Marianopolis concentrates on two-year programmes only.
Its science program is considered to be the most academically rigorous at Marianopolis, and admission is competitive. Other programs, such as Liberal Arts, Arts and Sciences, commerce and creative arts, are also competitive.
Marianopolis is located at 3880 Côte-des-Neiges at the corner of Cedar, though the school will be relocating in 2006.

Campus Life and Environment
The building is located right next to the Mount Royal Park, with a remarkable view of Downtown Montreal as well as a large soccer field.
Most students who attend Marianopolis do not regret their decision to go to the College. The Atmosphere is like a high-school due to its small student population however there is also strict competiton among students.As such the school places a special influence on non-academic and extracurricular activities. Over 70 official student clubs are currently active at Marianopolis, and two Universal periods per week ensure that all students, at one point or other, can find time to socialize and expand their friendships.
Academic Life and Success
Marianopolis features its own "Plan for Success", and indeed, most people who apply to universities out of Marianopolis get their first choice programs. The workload is challenging but doable, and Time Management is a must for Marianopolis students. The course load for most students ranges between 6 and 8 courses per semester, with the vast majority of students taking seven courses.
