Emma Alice Margaret (Margot) Asquith (February 2, 1864-July 28, 1945)
She was noted for her outspoken nature and acerbic wit.
She was born in Peeblesshire of Scots parents Emma and Charles Tennant.
On May 10, 1894 she married H. H. Asquith, who was later Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Their son Anthony Asquith (1902-1968), who was known as 'Puffin', became a respected film director.
