M73 motorway

The M73 motorway is a motorway in Scotland. It links the A80 in Cumbernauld with the vital Glasgow-Edinburgh M8 and the main route to England, the M74.
The road forms an eastern bypass for Glasgow such that traffic not entering the city may continue north to Stirling or south to Carlisle.
The northern end is due to be extended should the M80 be completed as a replacement of the existing A80.
