M-theory simplified

In simplified terms, M-theory represents a theory about how matter is constructed. String theories, quantum mechanics, and theoretical physics explain things we cannot see, yet their existence cannot be disproven. Gravity is an invisible yet measurable force that we can feel not only in the sense that we are on Earth, a solid celestial body with a definite mass, but because we effortlessly remain on solid ground and we do not float up into the atmosphere. Also effort is needed for physical motion, and without gravity no physical motion would be possible (unless an energy propulsion system, which needs no gravity nor solid surface to push against in order to move, were present) because we would be floating in the air and there would be no ground for physical motion to act upon. In other words, for us to move physically, there needs to be a force and something for this force to act upon, always. In the case of the propulsion system, the propulsion is pushing the system against the space around it, therefore causing the device to move in a linear direction.

In school you may have learned about the atom having a proton(s) and neutron(s) in the center, called the nucleus, with electron(s) spinning about the nucleus. This is much like our solar system where the Sun is the nucleus and the Planets revolve around it at different distances. There are also smaller particles in and around the atomic nucleus called subatomic particles. These may exist for an extremely small moment in time, and then transmute into another subatomic particle or pure energy. Examples are quarks, baryons, tachyons, neutrinos, and many others, which are sometimes taught in a collegiate academic level physics course.

One-dimensional strings, which are smaller than any subatomic particle, are believed to exist inside atoms. No one has ever seen these strings, that exist in straight, curled and circular shapes. Note well that these strings do not extend beyond their 1st dimension, and using advanced physics mathematics to explain all matter seen and unseeen, scientists have proven existence of the 4th dimension and upwards to 26 ! Three dimensions explain mass— objects. But now we must step outside our observed world if we want to understand Einstein's theories of Special Relativity and General Relativity or go to other dimensions, 12 and beyond.

The velocity of light in a vacuum c = 3 x 108 meters per second is assumed to be a constant in the Einsteinian equations. Equations for the higher dimensions involve imaginary numbers, and include the folding of space at sub-light and normal light speeds through time itself, known as spacetime.

The electrons and the subatomic particles travel at close to c, the speed of light. As we think "smaller" and travel inside the atom we could imagine a dot, or point, containing these invisible imaginary strings. They vibrate, in one sense of the word, to form all the other particles, subatomic particles and co-exist with energies which make up atoms. And matter is comprised of atoms.
