List of individuals executed in Washington

A total of four individuals convicted of murder have been executed by the state of Washington since 1976:
- James Homer Elledge, d. 28 August 2001 by lethal injection for the murder of Eloise Jane Fitzner.
- Jeremy Vargas Sagastegui, d. 13 October 1998 by lethal injection for the murders of Kievan Sarbacher, Melissa Sarbacher, and Lisa Vera Acevado.
- Charles Campbell, d. 27 May 1994 by hanging for the murders of Renae Wicklund, Shannah Wicklund, and Barbara Hendrickson.
- Westley Allan Dodd, d. 5 January 1993 by hanging for the murders of Cole Neer, William Neer, and Lee Islei.
Washington has executed 77 people, including the 4 named above, since 1904.
The death penalty was first established in Washington in 1854. It was abolished in 1913 and reinstated in 1919. It was again abolished in 1975, but reinstated via initiative that same year. Executions are by lethal injection unless the condemned chooses hanging, and take place at the Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla.
