- "The Hawk," a costumed student who serves as mascot of the Saint Joseph's Hawks; the mascot flaps its "wings" without interruption (even for halftime) throughout SJU basketball games
- "The Stanford Tree," a dancing tree of indeterminate species, official mascot of The Stanford Band, unofficial mascot of Stanford University
- "Uga", (pronounced ug-guh) a live bulldog, the official mascot of the Georgia Bulldogs [2] (http://www.bulldawgs.com/history/mascot.asp). The dogs are named in succession, and the current mascot is Uga VI [3] (http://www.arches.uga.edu/~tamsyn/uga6.htm). A person in the costume of a bulldog in football uniform also appears on the sidelines at Georgia football games.
