- Jimmy Pattison (Jim Pattison Group - Producer of Illuminated Signs, Media, Periodical Distribution, Entertainment, Packaging, Automotive, Food and Export/Financial Services) $4.17 billion
- Paul Desmarais and family (Power Corp. of Canada) $3.94 billion
- Saputo Family (Saputo Inc.), Montreal: $2.78 billion
- Bernard (Barry) Sherman (Apotex Group of Cos.) $2.5 billion

It should be noted that if Canadian Business could not determine the net worth of someone (e.g. Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin whose family owns Canada Steamship Lines), they did not include them on the list.
