Linda Sue Park (born March 25, 1960) is an author of children's fiction. She won the 2002 Newbery Medal for her novel A Single Shard.
Park was born in Urbana, Illinois in 1960. She is a Korean American, and has used her research into her heritage as the setting for her books: A Single Shard and The Kite Fighter are both historical novels set in Korea. She has also written When My Name Was Keoko,a book about her mother and uncle while they were growing up in Korea during the Japanese occupation.
