Linda T. Sánchez (born January 28 1969), an American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003, representing the 39th District of California (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/ca39_109.gif)). She was born in Orange, California, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and her law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and was a lawyer before entering the House. She is the sister of Representative Loretta Sanchez. In Congress, she serves on the Judiciary and Government Reform Committees, and co-founded the Congressional Labor and Working Families Caucus.
Sanchez was re-elected in 2004 to her second term, winning 61-39% against Republican challenger Tim Escobar.
