Linda Bove

Linda Bove plays the part of Linda on the children's television program Sesame Street. Both Linda the character and Ms. Bove are deaf. On Sesame Street, Linda has introduced thousands of children to sign language and issues surrounding the deaf community.
Bove also appeared in one episode of Happy Days as a girlfriend of The Fonz. In this role she also portrayed a deaf woman.
Linda Bove is the founding member of the National Theater of the Deaf in 1963. She also received an award in 1974 from AMITA – The Italian American Aware for her work on television. (S.Grant 2005)
Linda was born deaf on November 30, 1945 and grew up in Garfield, NJ.
