Kishar is the begotten of Lahmu and Lahamu, two serpents. She is the female principle of Mesopotamian mythology, sister and wife of Anshar, the male principle, and the mother of Anu and Ea. Kishar represents the earth as a counterpart to Anshar, the sky.
