|
The SUB-2000 is a carbine manufactured by Kel-Tec. It is chambered for a 9 mm or .40 caliber cartridges. There are three different designs: one takes Smith and Wesson magazines, one takes Glock magazines, and one takes Beretta magazines. The gun has a folding design, and when folded is half its total length. The way it folds (barrel against stock), was designed to circumvent the Assault Weapons Ban. The SUB-2000 is easily concealable, with an effective range of 125 yards (115 m). At distances closer than 50 yards (45 m), the 9mm bullet has the muzzle velocity of a .357 Magnum, at 200 yards (180 m), that of a .380 ACP. The net weight unloaded is 4 pounds (1.8 kg).
