Jennifer Miller (1961-) is a US lesbian bearded woman, juggler, and fire-eater, and a professor for UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Jennifer Miller was born 1961 into a family of two Jews-turned-Quakers professors. Her mother died when she was twenty. She turned to entertainment in the high school but decided not to enter college.
At first Miller shaved her beard to get a job, as her mother and grandmother had done, but by her mid-20's, she had grown a full beard. She decided to flaunt it instead. Still, many people still address her as a male and she has to take a friend to visit the ladies' room.
In 1989 she founded the Circus Amok and remained its director ever since. She was also a focus of Tami Gold documentary Juggling Gender.
