Ramapough Mountain Indians

The Ramapough Mountain Indians (also Ramapo Mountain Indians) are a group of approximately 3,000 people living around the Ramapo Mountains of northern New Jersey and southern New York. Their tribal office is located in Mahwah, New Jersey on Stag Hill Road.
Ethnically they are the descendants of the Lenape, Munsee with varying degrees of African, Tuscarora, Dutch, and various other Caucasians.
Their traditional language was Munsee1, but were also known to use English and Dutch.
