Jabneel
|
Jabneel was two places in ancient Israel:
- A town in Judah, mentioned as a boundary site (Joshua 15:1,11). It is thought to be identical with Jabne, the town Uzziah wrested from the Philistines (2. Ch 26:6). It is identified with today's Yavne, 20 km south of Joppa.
- A boundary site of the tribe of Naphtali. Probably today's Tell en-Naam, near the modern village Yavneel.
