Interstate 690
|
Interstate 690 is a 14.19 mile-long urban interstate spur in the Syracuse, New York area. It "dips down" to the southeast from Interstate 90 near Baldwinsville, New York, continues to travel east through Syracuse, and then terminates in East Syracuse into Interstate 481. From this point it has been planned for decades to extend the highway eastward to Manlius or even Chittenango, but these plans have never become a reality. The intention is easy to see because of the awkward on ramps at this intersection.
