Why does this list as a JPG of 20,673 bytes, yet when I load it I get a 4x4 GIF image of 64 bytes, alternating grey and transparent pixels, with the apparent comment in it "I was a banner"??? -- John Owens 06:06 20 May 2003 (UTC)

- Heh, yes, it's been almost two years now, but I remember at the time I discussed it on IRC for a while with Brion Vibber or Tim Starling, someone like that, and it turned out to be because my ad-blocking proxy was blocking it, because it's in directory a/ad/ (due to the md5sum of the image name, if I understand correctly?). I guess I ought to have posted here, or at least cleared this out, after that. --John Owens (talk) 21:56, 2005 Mar 17 (UTC)
