Note following regarding the copyright (originally at User talk:Michael Hardy):
Michael, it looks like you uploaded this image a year ago, but there's no copyright information. It's a very striking, professional-quality photograph (though a poorly compressed jpeg), which makes me wonder if we're allowed to use it. It would be good to clarify the copyright status; and (if it's yours) what are the chances that you could upload a more cleanly compressed version? With auto-thumbnailing the need to compress images is less than it used to be. k.lee 00:33, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I copied it from the web site of someone who said it's in the public domain. I think it was widely circulating then. I think I got it from one of the alt.usage.english web pages. As far as compressing it is concerned, I have no experience of that sort of thing, so I'm sure others could do it more efficiently and perhaps better. Michael Hardy 22:22, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I found this page: http://www.janknepper.com/Photography/City/Twin%20Towers%20New%20York/index.html that seems to claim the image is in the public domain. (Quote: I just want to share it with all who want it. Please take this picture and share it with anyone and everyone who likes it. ) Maybe it should be treated as public domain then.
