Chain sizzlers in position on cymbals.
The upper cymbal is a Paiste Traditional 11" thin splash with a modern chain sizzler fitted. This chokes the cymbal quite rapidly.
The lower cymbal is a Paiste 2002 18" medium with an orchestral sizzler fitted. This gives a very traditional sizzle sound.
The stand is a double stand. The cymbals are played independently and have no significant effect on each other.
This is an original photograph by Andrew Alder, taken on 23 June 2004.
