Ignacio Ramonet

Ignacio Ramonet (born May 5, 1943) is a Spanish journalist and writer. He is the editor-in-chief of Le Monde diplomatique, and was one of the cofounders of ATTAC and Media Watch Global.
Ramonet was born in Redondela, Pontevedra. He grew up in Tanger. Ramonet later studied engineering at Bordeaux, Rabat and Paris, and is now on the faculty of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris.
