ISync

- The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is iSync.
iSync is a software application made by Apple Computer designed to synchronize data in iCal and the Address Book with .Mac and devices including iPod, Palm OS devices and most SyncML-compatible devices such as newer mobile phones. iSync only runs in Mac OS X. It can also synchronize the user's Safari bookmarks with .Mac.
Starting with Mac OS X v10.4, much of the syncing functionality has been moved into a framework that developers can use to incorporate syncing into their own applications, however iSync remains for synchronizing with external devices.
The current version of iSync is 1.5 and does not support SyncML over HTTP.
