Hua Hin (Thai หัวหิน) is a city and famous beach resort in Thailand, located in the northern part of the Kra Isthmus. It has a population of 41,953 (2000 census), geographical location Template:Coor dm, and is part of the Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
Hua Hin is the oldest beach resort of Thailand. In 1921 the director of the state railway, Prince Purachatra, built the Railway Hotel close to the beach. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) liked the place so much he built a summer palace there. Nowadays the city has many higher-class hotels.
