Hollywood Left

The Hollywood Left is a mailing list that allegedly exists with the names of left-wing actors, stars, and celebrities from Hollywood. Its existence is claimed by various traditionalist and right-wing commentators.
The list is alleged to include Michael Moore, Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Drew Barrymore, Danny DeVito, the Osbornes, Ellen Degeneres, but also Matthew Perry, Billy Crystal, Sharon Stone, Bill Maher, and many others.
The goal of the alleged mailing list, according to said commentators, is to get George W. Bush out of office.
The phrase is also used more generally to refer to the supposed left-wing bias of the American entertainment industry.
